Samsung SDS Supports Data Analytics Talent Development with Smarter 'Brightics Studio'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Samsung SDS announced on the 31st that it has enhanced the capabilities of its easy and fast data analysis platform, 'Brightics Studio,' to support the cultivation of data analysis talent in various educational institutions.
'Brightics Studio' is the open-source version of Samsung SDS's artificial intelligence (AI) platform 'Brightics AI,' which Samsung SDS released free of charge in 2018 to enable anyone to easily analyze and utilize data.
Samsung SDS significantly strengthened the data analysis functions of 'Brightics Studio' by adding ▲more than 220 key functions pre-written by data analysis experts ▲an option to view frequently used functions collectively ▲support for both Korean and English languages.
Samsung SDS explained that 'Brightics Studio' is a no-code platform that can be used without separate coding, featuring drag-and-drop functionality and a visualized analysis environment, which has been well received in educational settings due to its user convenience.
In fact, 'Brightics Studio' was registered as a practical tool for the 'Introduction to Artificial Intelligence' course in 2021 and is being used for data analysis classes at frontline high schools and Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School. Universities such as KAIST, Korea University, and Sungkyunkwan University also conduct AI and data analysis lectures using 'Brightics Studio.'
In particular, through Samsung's representative social contribution program, the 'Junior SW Academy,' middle and high school teachers and students practiced data analysis using 'Brightics Studio' and completed the corresponding educational course.
Additionally, 'Brightics Studio' was selected as the official data analysis platform at the AI competition hosted by the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) in July.
