Gwangju Seo-gu Provides Incentive Support to Affordable Price Businesses
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Yi-gang) is providing incentives to "Good Price Businesses" that contribute to stabilizing local prices by offering affordable prices and high-quality services despite the prolonged economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
According to Seo-gu on the 28th, a total of 36 Good Price Businesses in the district, including Korean-Chinese restaurants, laundry, and beauty salons, will receive supplies such as eco-friendly aprons and subsidies for water and sewage fees.
Notably, this year, 23 Korean-Chinese restaurants will be supported with aprons made of paper material instead of environmentally harmful substances like nonwoven fabric or vinyl.
Seo-gu expects that by including the phrase "Good Price Business" on these paper aprons, it will enhance the pride of the businesses and increase promotional effects.
Additionally, all Good Price Businesses will receive support for volume-based waste bags and water and sewage fees, which is expected to greatly assist businesses in maintaining not only prices but also taste, quality, and service despite management difficulties.
A Seo-gu official said, "We appreciate the participation in stabilizing local prices by maintaining low prices despite the ongoing economic recession and high inflation," and added, "We hope more Good Price Businesses will emerge so that citizens can enjoy delicious food and high-quality services without burden."
Meanwhile, Good Price Businesses are those whose product prices are below the local average and maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards. They are designated by Seo-gu based on selection criteria through applications from individual service businesses (such as food service, beauty salons, laundry, bathhouses, lodging, etc.) that provide excellent service to consumers.
This year, new Good Price Businesses will be recruited in December, and inquiries can be made to the Economic Division of Seo-gu Office.
