View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will appear as a witness at the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting and Communications Committee's audit on the 24th.
A committee official stated, "Chairman Chey is scheduled to appear at the audit venue around 8:30 PM."
The committee selected Chairman Chey as a general witness for the audit on the 17th in relation to the fire at the SK C&C Pangyo Data Center, which caused service disruptions for Kakao and Naver.
However, Chairman Chey submitted a letter of absence to the committee around 11 PM on the 21st and did not attend. The reason given was concerns about negative perceptions arising amid increased uncertainty in corporate management, overlapping schedules with SK Group's forum in Japan, and his role as chairman of the private sector committee for the Busan Expo bid.
