Selected last December for the U-Library service system construction public project (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), it invested about 130 million KRW from national and city funds to equip a non-face-to-face book lending and return system with around 600 books, preparing it for citizen use.
The Jinhaeru Smart Library measures 5.2m in width, 3m in depth, with a total floor area of 15.6㎡. The booth exterior expresses cherry blossoms in pink representing Jinhae-gu, the sea in blue, and the navy in white.
By providing a non-face-to-face library service in accessible everyday spaces without time restrictions, it is expected to become a new attraction for many citizens visiting Jinhaeru Beach Park.
