Jung Chang-su, Gwangju Nam-gu Council Member, Proposes 'Personal Information Protection Ordinance'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Jeong Chang-su, a member of the Gwangju Nam-gu Council, announced on the 14th that the 'Personal Information Protection Ordinance' was passed in the standing committee.
This ordinance features the obligation for the district mayor to designate a personal information protection officer, the establishment of a Personal Information Protection Deliberation Committee, and provisions related to insurance and mutual aid to ensure compensation in case of damage.
Councilor Jeong said, “Through this ordinance, I hope it will play a significant role in enhancing the rights and interests of district residents by preventing personal information leaks and misuse.”
