Gwangju-Jeonnam Vietnamese Community Association-GSM, Signed a Business Agreement for Mutual Growth and Coexistence
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] To commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Vietnamese Residents Association has established a home in Bitgaram-dong, Naju-si, Jeonnam.
The association's office is located on the 2nd floor of the Dowon Building on Munhwa-ro, Naju-si, and the office opening ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 8th. It has been 11 years since the association was founded.
About 50 Vietnamese residents, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung and his wife, Mayor Yoon Byung-tae of Naju-si, and Democratic Party of Korea National Assembly member Shin Jeong-hoon attended the opening ceremony of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Vietnamese Residents Association to celebrate.
Ambassador Nguyen said in his congratulatory speech, "It is an honor for all of us that the residents have interacted through cultural exchange events and become members of the local community. I hope that the local community and government agencies will recognize and support the growth of the association."
Following the office opening ceremony, the association signed an MOU with Global Strategic Manpower Management Co., Ltd. (G.S.M) for coexistence and mutual growth.
G.S.M will support the association's office and operating expenses for three years and cooperate in various ways to provide stable jobs for Vietnamese immigrants and help them integrate as members of Korean society.
Both organizations promised to realize mutual benefits and create cooperative governance that benefits both countries by protecting the interests and rights of Vietnamese nationals currently immigrating or residing in Korea through strategic business partnerships and collaboration, and by making efforts to help them settle as members of Korean society.
