Korea-Japan Director-General Talks Discuss Solutions for Forced Labor Compensation
Meeting Between South Korean and Japanese Diplomatic Officials in Seoul on the Morning of the 11th
Focused Discussions on Forced Labor Compensation Issue Since the Tokyo Meeting in August
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the 11th, the foreign affairs authorities of South Korea and Japan will hold director-general level talks in Seoul to discuss diplomatic issues between the two countries, including solutions to the forced labor compensation issue.
Lee Sang-ryeol, Director-General of the Asia-Pacific Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Takehiro Funakoshi, Director-General of the Asia and Oceania Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are scheduled to hold director-general level talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The Korea-Japan director-general level talks come one and a half months after the Tokyo talks on August 26.
