View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS25 announced on the 5th that the cumulative sales volume of the new release Pyeonstorang winning menu items surpassed 5 million units about four months after their first product launch. Pyeonstorang is a terrestrial entertainment program where stars reveal premium dishes that are too good to eat alone, and the winning menu, selected through evaluation, is released nationwide at convenience stores the day after the broadcast.
Since first introducing the Pyeonstorang winning menu, Jinttobaegi Maepssak Galbi Triangle Kimbap, in May this year, GS25 has launched a total of seven products to date. The best-selling products were Jinttobaegi Maepssak Galbi Triangle Kimbap, Double Shrimp Ddeung Sandwich, and Jinttogaeran Fried Egg Jjajang Triangle Kimbap, in that order. Notably, Jinttobaegi Maepssak Galbi Triangle Kimbap sold over 2.5 million units, accounting for about half of the total sales volume.
Starting at the end of this week, GS25 will hold a ‘My Own Pyeon Chef’ cheering event on social media (SNS). Three people who leave specific hashtags (#CastMemberName #Pyeonstorang, #PyeonstorangCoffeeTruck, etc.) will be selected by lottery, and a coffee truck will be sent to the Pyeonstorang recording broadcast with the fan name and cheering message in the name of the Pyeon Chef who received the most support.
