'2022 Gangneung Foodie Guide' Held in October
October 13-15 'Gangneung Gourmet Guide' Held at Ojuk Hanok Village
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangneung City, Gangwon Province, announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2022 Gangneung Foodie Guide' for three days from October 13th in the Ojuk Hanok Village area to convey the charm of local specialties and promote Gangneung's food culture through stories about Gangneung's ingredients.
The event consists of 'Gangneung Specialty Story,' 'Exhibition,' 'Gangneung Local Dining,' and 'Performances.'
The 'Specialty Story' exhibits seasonal specialties of Gangneung such as spring's Gaetbangpung, summer's Gaedureup, potato Ongshimi, autumn's Chodang Tofu, and winter's Seogeori Kkakdugi.
'Gangneung Local Dining' accepts reservations for a total of 40 people, 10 each for lunch and dinner on the 13th and 14th, preparing dishes like Chodang Tofu, potato Ongshimi, and seafood, along with traditional Gangneung desserts and Gangneung alcohol pairings.
On the last day of the event, the 15th, a food talk show themed on Gangneung cuisine and a Gugak musical centered on Chodang Tofu will be performed.
