The Seongnam Cultural Foundation announced on the 22nd that Cho Seongjin's piano recital will be held at the Seongnam Arts Center Concert Hall on October 3rd.
This will be Cho Seongjin's first solo recital in Korea in one year since his tour commemorating the release of his Chopin album last September.
The theme of this Cho Seongjin piano recital is "Variations." Variations, an important genre in keyboard music, is a form that freely develops musical ideas in various ways inspired by a specific theme. Cho Seongjin is expected to showcase his unique outstanding sensitivity and technique, along with a balanced musicality of diverse tonal colors.
In the performance, Cho Seongjin will play Handel's "Keyboard Suite No. 5 in E Major," Brahms' "Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel Op.24," Schumann's "Three Fantasiest?cke Op.111," and "Symphonic Etudes Op.13," among others.
