GM Korea Plant Conducts Safety Culture Campaign
Wayne O'Brien, Vice President and Chief Safety Officer of GM Korea Operations, is attending a forklift experience event and explaining safety to employees.
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Korea GM and GM Technical Center Korea announced on the 21st that they are conducting a company-wide safety campaign this week. The campaign, which started on the 19th at all GM sites worldwide, is being held this year under the theme of "Relentless Innovation."
At GM sites in Korea, including Bupyeong, Changwon, and Boryeong, safety inspections, on-site safety checks, employee safety awareness campaigns, and experiential events will be held during the campaign week. In addition, seminars and forums on safety culture and safety technology, award ceremonies for employees, and safety patrols in high-risk areas will be conducted.
Wayne O'Brien, Chief Safety Officer of GM Korea Operations, said, "We boldly and courageously raise our voices whenever there is an opportunity to reduce risks," adding, "We must always put people first and work second."
