Naver·LINE NEXT Officially Launches Entertainment NFT Service 'NowDrops'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver announced on the 21st that it has officially launched ‘NOW. Drops,’ a non-fungible token (NFT) service utilizing NOW. content, in collaboration with LINE NEXT.
NOW. Drops is a service that allows users to directly mint and keep NFTs of precious moments of artists captured in content provided by NOW. NOW. Drops can be found on ‘AVA’ store, LINE NEXT’s entertainment NFT service on the global NFT platform DOSI.
Users can watch artists’ performance videos and behind-the-scenes footage on NOW., and collect their favorite videos by storing them in Crystals. Crystals serve as a means to purchase NFTs and as a storage for videos minted as NFTs. An event is also held where users who purchase Crystals can vote directly on comeback support banners and phrases.
Even users unfamiliar with NFTs can easily mint and trade artists’ NFTs. They can easily log in to the NFT wallet ‘DOSI Wallet’ through their social networking service (SNS) accounts and make simple payments via Naver Pay (domestic) and credit/debit cards (overseas), greatly improving accessibility to NFT trading. LINE NEXT plans to launch the AVA market in the future to support users in trading Crystals they own with each other.
