40s Man Wearing Electronic Ankle Bracelet Commits Sexual Harassment in Elevator Following Woman in Her 20s
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man suspected of following and molesting a woman returning home in the early morning hours was apprehended by the police. It was confirmed that he was wearing an electronic tracking device (electronic anklet) at the time of the crime.
According to the police on the 20th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on the 16th on charges of sexual assault.
Mr. A is accused of following a woman in her 20s returning home around 1:30 a.m. on the 14th and committing an obscene act in the elevator of an apartment in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The police are investigating Mr. A under charges of sexual assault instead of public indecency.
