Hansot Resumes Offline Franchise Seminars After 2 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Hansot announced on the 19th that it will resume offline franchise briefing sessions after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
The franchise briefing session held on the 21st at the headquarters in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, features participants visiting Hansot stores in person and touring the kitchen. It also provides opportunities to observe customer service and operations.
Participants can sample a variety of menu items and visually experience Hansot's menu composition methods, unique points during sales, topping arrangements, and set configurations. Prospective franchisees can resolve their usual questions and gain a preliminary understanding of the sales structure when opening a store.
Hansot explained that it aims to maximize the unique characteristics of offline sessions that could not be experienced through phone or online franchise briefings.
Out of a total of 759 stores (as of the end of last month), Hansot has 373 stores, accounting for more than 49%, that have been operating for over 10 years. Stores operating for more than 5 years also make up 30% of the total. Combined, this means that a remarkable 601 stores, or over 79%, have maintained stable operations for more than 5 years.

According to the Fair Trade Commission's franchise registration standards, although the number of new food service franchise brands increased by more than 2,000 in one year from 2020 to 2021, only 240 brands, or 2.7% of all brands, have more than 100 franchise stores.
