The Suwon City Waterworks Office announced on the 15th that it will collect floating debris and waste within Gwanggyo Reservoir by the end of this month to prevent water pollution and create a pleasant reservoir environment.
Accordingly, since the 5th, the office has been conducting environmental cleanup work to collect floating debris (pollutants drifting on or under the water) and trash that have flowed into Gwanggyo Reservoir.
In particular, the work is being carried out safely and efficiently using water quality management vessels and waste collection bags.

A Suwon city official explained, "After recent heavy rains caused by typhoons, a large amount of floating debris such as weeds, trees, and household waste has flowed into the reservoir. If the floating debris is left unattended, there is a risk of reservoir environment and water quality deterioration, and odors may occur, so cleanup work is being carried out."
