Line Next Launches Beta Version of Global NFT Platform 'Dosi'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Line Next, a global non-fungible token (NFT) platform subsidiary of the global messenger platform LINE, announced on the 14th that it has launched the beta version of the global NFT platform ‘DOSI’ and will provide services in 9 languages across more than 180 countries worldwide.
DOSI is derived from the Korean word for city, 도시 (Dosi). It signifies that creators, companies, and fandoms around the world create their own virtual economies and cities.
DOSI consists of the ‘DOSI Store,’ a brand store where companies and brands can sell NFTs; content-specialized services such as entertainment and games; the dedicated NFT wallet called ‘DOSI Wallet’; and the NFT-based membership called ‘DOSI Citizen.’
To use the DOSI platform, users simply need to sign up for the NFT-exclusive wallet, ‘DOSI Wallet.’ Registration can be easily completed using social accounts such as LINE, Facebook, Google, and Naver (domestic), and subsequent logins can be made with the same account. Payment methods for NFT transactions support simple payment options like credit cards and Naver Pay. Cryptocurrency will be added as a payment method in the future.
Users who join DOSI Wallet become ‘DOSI Citizens’ and are granted membership based on PFP (profile picture) NFTs that can be used as profile photos within DOSI. Users can collect various DOSI Citizen NFTs and grow alongside the DOSI ecosystem through activities such as trading and inviting friends, enjoying various rewards and benefits according to their contributions.
Along with the beta launch of DOSI, the globally popular webtoon series ‘Hellbound’ will begin its first sale on the DOSI Store. Starting from 8 PM (Korean time) on the day, 500 NFTs inspired by the Hellbound universe will be sold at an early bird price for 96 hours. A total of 4,444 collections will be offered, and users can purchase NFTs with varying degrees of rarity.
