Sharing Experiences of Writers and Mental Health... 'Ma-eumtuja Book Talk Concert' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] A 'Book Talk Concert' where authors who have published mental health books share their related experiences and coping methods will be held.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Center for Mental Health announced on the 14th that they will hold the 'Mind Investment Book Talk Concert' at the Starfield Library in COEX, Seoul.
This concert is a public mental health forum (seminar) for the general public, designed as a communication method for the public to directly participate and empathize with the importance of mental health and the necessity of investing in the mind, moving away from the previous academic conference format.
Authors Kim Jae-sik, Iraha, and Lidan, who have published books related to mental health, will appear at this concert. Kim Jae-sik authored "I Am Enough as Myself," Iraha wrote "Morning Comes Even to the Psychiatric Ward," and Lidan wrote "I Came from the Land of Mental Illness."
Through the medium of books, the three authors share the fact that mental health issues can affect anyone, as well as their personal experiences and coping methods. Each author will speak about their experiences for 20 minutes, followed by a 20-minute Q&A session based on questions from both on-site and online participants.
The Mind Investment Book Talk Concert can be attended on-site or participated in via a live broadcast on YouTube's "Mind Investment Forum."
Gwak Sook-young, Director of Mental Health Policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said, "Previously, many events were centered around mental health experts, but since this event allows the general public to directly participate and communicate, I hope it becomes a place of communication where many people interested in mental health can join and share their opinions."
