On the 4th (local time), the official US Open Twitter posted a video of a woman in the stands downing a cup of beer at once, with the caption "It is becoming a tradition at this point."

Media outlets from the US as well as Australia, Germany, India, and the UK showed interest with articles such as "The cult hero of the US Open" and "The beer-drinking fan is going viral for the second year in a row."

This tennis fan, nicknamed the "Beer Girl," is named Megan Lucky.

Lucky had already become a sensation at last year’s US Open. During the third-round match between Roberto Bautista Agut and Felix Auger-Aliassime, the camera caught her downing a beer in one shot when it focused on her. After finishing the beer, Lucky raised both arms in joy. The crowd cheered upon seeing this.

This year, Lucky once again visited the US Open in person. The camera did not forget to capture her. When the camera focused on her, Lucky immediately stood up and started gulping down her beer.
