Chairman Huh Chang-soo of FKI Requests Strengthened Win-Win Cooperation from Member Companies Ahead of Chuseok
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Huh Chang-soo, Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), has requested member companies to strengthen win-win cooperation activities ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
On the 31st, the FKI announced that through a letter sent under Chairman Huh's name, it urged member companies to ▲ promote mutual growth with partner companies such as early payment of delivery fees and ▲ support rural communities by purchasing gifts of domestic agricultural products.
Chairman Huh emphasized that uncertainties in the Korean economy are increasing due to global inflation caused by the Russia-Ukraine war and interest rate hikes in major countries, and that the social responsibility and role of Korean companies are especially important at times like these. He requested member companies to strengthen win-win cooperation with partner companies, such as early payment of delivery fees, to help businesses struggling due to rising international raw material prices. He also conveyed a message encouraging participation in creating a ‘win-win ecosystem’ to overcome the crisis together.
Furthermore, he proposed sharing the difficulties faced by rural communities suffering from repeated heavy rains and pest damage through the purchase of gifts made from domestic agricultural products.
