Ministry of Economy and Finance Appoints Professor Kim Taeyoon of Hanyang University as Co-Lead of Economic Regulation Innovation TF Team
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kim Hyewon] The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 29th that it has appointed Professor Kim Taeyoon of Hanyang University as the co-leader of the Economic Regulatory Innovation Task Force (TF) led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho.
This is a follow-up personnel change following the appointment of Kim Jongseok, the original co-leader of the TF and distinguished professor at SUNY Korea, as the new civilian chairman of the Presidential Regulatory Reform Committee on the 24th.
The new team leader Kim majored in policy studies at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the United States and has been a professor in the Department of Public Administration at Hanyang University since 2001. The Ministry of Economy and Finance explained that he is an expert with deep experience and knowledge in the regulatory field, having served twice as a civilian member (secretary member) of the Regulatory Reform Committee and as president of the Korean Society for Regulation Studies.

The Ministry stated, "We expect Team Leader Kim, together with 11 civilian members, to lead private-sector-driven, performance-oriented regulatory innovation by contributing to the dismantling of key regulations that constrain companies and markets through the Economic Regulatory Innovation TF."
