Renault Korea Labor-Management Agreement Reached... Final Decision on the 31st
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Renault Korea Motors labor and management have reached a tentative agreement on the 2022 wage and collective bargaining agreement.
On the morning of the 27th, during the 7th main negotiation session for the wage and collective agreement, labor and management agreed on a 60,000 KRW increase in the base salary, a 3 million KRW encouragement bonus, 200,000 KRW in Biz Points, and an increase in vacation pay. Regarding the wage peak system, minimum wage, promotion, performance evaluation, and salary grade system, a personnel system improvement committee will be formed with equal representation from labor and management to discuss these matters.
Issues related to the wage peak system and ordinary wages, which are currently under litigation, will be discussed after reviewing the lawsuit results.
Previously, labor and management held an introductory meeting on May 3 and have been conducting negotiations for the wage and collective agreement. The company had been negotiating under a "multi-year agreement" for three years starting this year to ensure the success of the "Aurora Project," which signifies the preparation of new vehicles for 2024, but withdrew this and resumed negotiations.
