'MB Son' Lee Si-hyung Registered as Director of Cheonggye Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] It has been confirmed that Lee Si-hyung, the son of former President Lee Myung-bak, has been registered as a board member of the Cheonggye Foundation.
According to the Cheonggye Foundation on the 24th, Lee was appointed as a director of the Cheonggye Foundation in September last year. The Cheonggye Foundation is a scholarship foundation established by former President Lee in August 2009 using his private funds.
Lee took the vacant director position after Lee Sang-joo, the former president's son-in-law and lawyer, retired. Currently, the Cheonggye Foundation is operated by a total of 11 board members, including Chairman Song Jeong-ho, who has led the foundation since its inception. Lee worked as an executive director at DAS, an auto parts company used in the creation of the former president's slush fund, before resigning in 2018.
