22nd Gosan Literary Award Presented to Poets Kim Myung-gi and Seon An-young

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] The 22nd Gosan Literary Award recipients have been selected as poets Kim Myung-gi (modern poetry) and Seon An-young (sijo). The prize money is 20 million won each.
According to Yeolrin Poetry Publishing, poet Kim Myung-gi was honored for his poetry collection Standing Like a Person with No Place to Return (Walking Person), and poet Seon An-young for Give Me Those Lovely Nine Tails (Munhakdeul). The Newcomer Awards went to Yoon Gye-soon (modern poetry) and Kang Young-im (sijo).
The Gosan Literary Award was established to carry on the pioneering poetic spirit of Gosan Yun Seon-do into the present day.

The award ceremony will be held on October 14 at Baekryeonjae, the House of Literature at the Ttangkkeut Pilgrimage Literature Museum in Gosan Historic Site, Haenam-eup, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, where Gosan’s old house is located.
