[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Department of Geoinformatics Engineering at Sejong University Graduate School has been selected for the global core talent development support project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
According to Sejong University on the 20th, the Department of Geoinformatics Engineering was recognized for its ability to strengthen international competitiveness by training advanced personnel in spatial information digital twin technology, leading to its selection for the project.
Through this project, the department plans to establish a global cooperation network by promoting joint research and internships with overseas universities, research institutes, and companies in promising ICT technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution and innovative growth leading technologies. Additionally, master's and doctoral students will be dispatched abroad to enhance their research capabilities and become core talents.
Two master's students participating in the selected project will receive approximately 100 million KRW per person annually. They will work as dispatched researchers at the Graduate School of Spatial Information Engineering at Purdue University in the United States starting from the second semester.
