Maeil Dairies Awarded Highest Grade in Fair Trade Agreement Evaluation with Dealerships
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Maeil Dairies was found to have received the highest grade in the agency agreement evaluation last year.
The Fair Trade Commission announced on the 7th that, as a result of reviewing the 2021 agency agreement evaluation through the 4th Agency Sector Agreement Evaluation Committee, among 10 companies, one company including Maeil Dairies received the highest grade, one company including CJ CheilJedang received the excellent grade, and three companies received the satisfactory grade.
The Fair Trade Commission evaluated that Maeil Dairies established fairness in contracts by enacting and complying with internal regulations detailing standards and procedures for the agency's receipt amounts, payment amounts, and contract termination.
CJ CheilJedang received high evaluation for operating win-win support programs such as covering 50% of refrigerator purchase costs (2.36 billion KRW), university tuition fees for agency employees' children (130 million KRW), and emergency support for urea solution (30 million KRW).
Companies with the highest grade are exempt from on-site investigations for two years and receive the chairman's commendation for corporations and individuals; companies with the excellent grade are exempt from on-site investigations for one year and receive the chairman's commendation for corporations; companies with the satisfactory grade receive the chairman's commendation for corporations.
The Fair Trade Commission plans to hold an explanatory session within the year to encourage agreement signing among suppliers participating in the written survey on agency transactions to revitalize agency agreements.
