According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 4th, "Emergency Declaration" (directed by Han Jae-rim), which premiered on the 3rd, attracted 336,751 viewers, ranking first at the box office. Including preview screenings, the cumulative audience reached 359,080.
"Emergency Declaration" is a film depicting the story of a plane that declares an unconditional landing due to an unprecedented aviation terror and the people confronting the disaster. The cast includes actors Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, and Im Si-wan. Attention is focused on whether the film will continue the success lineage of disaster movies like "Exit" and "Baekdusan."
The momentum of "Hansan: Rising Dragon," which was released on the 27th of last month, is also strong. It attracted 235,515 viewers on the day, ranking second, with a cumulative audience of 3,232,325.
