[Photo] Dosim Airport Terminal Closes After 32 Years Due to COVID Impact
The Gangnam Urban Airport Terminal is facing closure due to accumulated deficits caused by the impact of COVID-19. A terminal official stated, "The internal review concluding that closure is appropriate has been completed," adding, "We recently explored countermeasures with related organizations such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Gangnam District Office, but no effective solutions have emerged." Opened in 1990, the Gangnam Urban Airport Terminal is an airport facility designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, providing check-in services for a total of 17 airlines including Korean Air and Asiana Airlines. However, even this location, which has stood for over 30 years, could not escape the effects of COVID-19.
