'Hyundai Motor Customer Participation Event for World Cup Live Viewing'
Team Century member and Hyundai Motor Global Brand Ambassador 'Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS)' is taking a commemorative photo for the 'Hyundai Motor Century Goal Pledge'.
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 28th that it will hold a customer participation event linked to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Customers can watch the World Cup matches live on-site or receive items from famous players.
As an official sponsor of the World Cup, the company launched the "Goal of the Century" campaign last April to encourage sustainability and carbon neutrality. Together with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), from the 29th until September 30th, Hyundai will run the "Hyundai Goal of the Century Pledge" linked to the campaign message on FIFA's official channel website and application.
This pledge is an event encouraging eco-friendly activities among soccer fans. Those who wish to participate can propose an eco-friendly activity pledge to be fulfilled if the country they support among the 32 teams qualified for the finals scores a goal. Hyundai and FIFA will select 11 participants (each allowed one companion) by lottery and provide them with a live viewing package that includes tickets to one of the group stage matches (Round of 32) of their supported national team, as well as airfare and hotel accommodations.

Participants who do not win the live viewing package can keep their pledge during the World Cup period and post it on social media to enter a lottery for campaign goods such as a signed jersey by Steven Gerrard. Additionally, as part of this campaign, the company is conducting a global test drive event focusing on eco-friendly vehicles like the Ioniq 5 in 41 countries worldwide until the end of September. Among customers who participate in the test drive and subscribe to the supporters' newsletter, 100 people (each allowed one companion) from the 41 countries will be selected by lottery to receive an opportunity to join a tour package that includes tickets to group stage matches held at Lusail Stadium in Qatar, airfare, hotel accommodations, and guided tours.
