Gyeonggi-do to Conduct Intensive Investigation on 'False Real Estate Listings' Starting August
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will launch an intensive investigation into false real estate listings starting next month.
On the 27th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will select and officially operate 36 Real Estate Transaction Order Assistants from August 1 to ensure fairness and transparency in real estate transactions. The Real Estate Transaction Order Assistants are temporary workers who assist city and county public officials.
To actively respond to illegal real estate activities, they will perform auxiliary tasks such as preventing and educating about false real estate listings and price collusion, investigating real estate transaction reports, and investigating planned real estate projects. Although the personnel are utilized by the cities and counties, the wages are paid by Gyeonggi Province.
Before starting the project, the province conducted a demand survey of 31 cities and counties last year and selected 15 cities and counties, including Suwon City, as project target areas, securing a budget of 864 million KRW this year.
A provincial official stated, "The Real Estate Transaction Order Assistants project is being promoted to establish a fair and transparent real estate transaction order and contribute to creating public jobs," adding, "We will closely cooperate with the relevant cities and counties to ensure that the Gyeonggi Province Real Estate Transaction Order Assistants project achieves good results."
