Banks doing this too?... KB Kookmin targets Gen Z with 'Financial Romance Web Novel' service
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 26th that it has launched a romance web novel service with a financial theme on its Gen Z (born mid-1990s to early 2000s) financial platform 'Liiv Next.'
Kookmin Bank signed a content planning business agreement with UPPITY, an economic media platform targeting the MZ generation (Millennials + Gen Z) with 240,000 subscribers, and is introducing the financial romance web novel for Gen Z titled 'We Are in a Misunderstanding.'
The web novel is serialized every Tuesday and is available for free to all Liiv Next members through the application (app).
'We Are in a Misunderstanding' tells the story of an ordinary 18-year-old female protagonist who discovers the economic secret of a male student she likes and steps into the world of finance, which she had never been interested in before. It covers topics closely related to Gen Z's daily life, such as reselling, secondhand trading, and part-time jobs, rather than difficult financial concepts.
