View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 20th, the National Assembly held a plenary session and approved the formation plan of the 'Special Committee on Stabilizing the Livelihood Economy.'
The Special Committee on the Livelihood Economy will consist of 13 members: 6 from the Democratic Party of Korea, 6 from the People Power Party, and 1 from a non-negotiating group. The chairperson will be appointed from the People Power Party.
The committee plans to address economic issues such as further expansion of the fuel tax reduction, linkage system for delivery prices, improvement of real estate-related systems, expansion of non-taxable portions of meal allowances for office workers, the safe freight system, and public transportation fare refunds.
