Suwon City Conducts Safety Inspections at 226 Public Facilities
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct safety inspections of public facilities to prevent major civic disasters.
On the 30th, Suwon City announced that from the 1st to the 20th of next month, it will inspect the safety management status and compliance with obligations of 226 public facilities in the city to prevent major civic disasters.
The inspection targets include 168 facilities subject to the Facility Safety Management Act (such as social welfare centers, cultural and sports centers, reservoirs, and underpasses) and 58 facilities subject to the Indoor Air Quality Management Act (such as daycare centers, libraries, public health centers, city and district offices, and Dong administrative welfare centers).
The main inspection items are ▲ safety inspections of public facilities and establishment and implementation of detailed safety diagnosis plans ▲ inspection of facility maintenance and management ▲ inspection of facility risk factors and preparation of procedures such as restricting facility use ▲ inspection of compliance with relevant laws to ensure user safety ▲ completion of mandatory education for facility safety managers.
The city will immediately correct minor or urgent safety issues on site, and for issues with potential for major civic disasters, it will focus on management until risks are eliminated through measures such as suspending facility use, repairing facilities, and preparing preventive measures.
