Gyeongnam Province announced that the road widening and paving construction was finally completed on the 21st, and the entire section will be opened on the 23rd.
Until now, the section along the Nakdong River in Namji-eup, Changnyeong-gun, on Local Road No. 1022 had no established road, causing many complaints from local residents and tourists visiting the Nakdong River Canola Flower Complex and Namji Gaebiri-gil about traffic inconvenience.
The province explained that with a total project cost of 38.4 billion KRW, a 3.74 km long, 10 m wide two-lane road widening and paving construction was carried out connecting Yongsan-ri and Sinjeon-ri in Namji-eup, installing two tunnels, two bridges, and two intersections.

They added that it will also strengthen the growth engine of the local industry by shortening travel time and reducing logistics costs through the establishment of a connected road network with industrial production facilities such as Chilseo Local Industrial Complex.
