[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] At around 10:40 a.m. on the 6th, a fire broke out on a moving boat at Ara Healing Cafe Moving Boat in Ip-gok County Park, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, causing a family on board to jump into the water.
The moving boat is a leisure electric boat operated by the Haman-gun Facilities Management Office. It is a circular boat equipped with an electric motor and is operated as a recreational device on the reservoir in Ip-gok County Park.
According to the Haman Police Station, at the time of the accident, a family of five including the father in his 40s, Mr. A, wearing life jackets, was operating an 8-seater boat when a fire suddenly broke out from the moving boat's control box at the middle point of the reservoir, causing them to jump into the water.
They were rescued by a nearby lifeguard team, but Mr. A, who was the last to get off the boat, inhaled smoke and received hospital treatment.
The Haman County Park Management Office decided to suspend the operation of the moving boat until the cause of the fire is identified to ensure the safety of participants.
The police, based on the initial on-site investigation, estimate that the fire was caused by engine overheating of the motorboat and are investigating the exact circumstances based on witness statements.

The remains of the moving boat were sent to the National Forensic Service for a detailed investigation, and an investigation into the adequacy of safety management is planned.
