The Gunpo Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 3rd that Mr. A was booked without detention on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Mr. A is suspected of drunk driving on a road in Dangjeong-dong, Gunpo City, around 10:30 PM on the 2nd.
According to the police, Mr. A, upon spotting police officers conducting a drunk driving checkpoint, made a sudden right turn and crashed into a store, hitting the glass door.
At the time, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at the level warranting license cancellation.
There were no reported injuries from the accident.
