"Meet Dokdo in VR" Cyber Dokdo Experience Center Opens
Operation of Cyber Dokdo Experience Center in Preparation for Temporary Closure on June 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education and the Northeast Asian History Foundation announced on the 31st that they will operate the 'Cyber Dokdo Experience Center,' where people can experience Dokdo anytime and anywhere, in preparation for the temporary closure of the Dokdo Experience Center.
At the Cyber Dokdo Experience Center, visitors can encounter immersive content using the latest techniques such as virtual reality (VR). Both PC and mobile access are supported.
The entire Dokdo Exhibition Center, including the History Hall displaying historical records and maps of Dokdo, the Nature Hall guiding the ecological and natural environment of Dokdo, the Video Experience Hall, and the Special Exhibition Hall, has been produced as 360° virtual reality (VR) content.

The Ministry of Education and the Northeast Asian History Foundation are promoting the expansion and relocation project of the Dokdo Experience Center, considering transportation convenience and the size of the exhibition hall. The Seodaemun Dokdo Experience Center will be temporarily closed on June 1, and the new Dokdo Experience Center will be built at Yeongdeungpo Times Square. After a pilot operation in August, it is scheduled to officially open in October.
