On that day, the nomination approval bill for candidate Han was put to a secret ballot, and out of 250 members present, 208 voted in favor, 36 against, and 6 abstained, resulting in its approval.
This comes 47 days after President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol nominated candidate Han on the 3rd of last month, and ten days after President Yoon submitted the nomination approval bill to the National Assembly on his inauguration day.
Thus, candidate Han will assume office as the first prime minister of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and the 48th prime minister.
