Save the Children Signs Business Agreement to Support Play Teachers for Children with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Save the Children Western Regional Headquarters, an international child rights organization, announced on the 12th that it signed a business agreement for the 'Support Project for Play Teachers for Children with Disabilities' with the Happy Development Coaching Center located in Nam-gu, Gwangju.
The Support Project for Play Teachers for Children with Disabilities aims to improve social skills of children with developmental disabilities by expanding playtime, changing awareness of the right to play, and eliminating inequality of opportunity by providing play teachers to children with developmental disabilities in welfare blind spots with low accessibility to service institutions.
Through a nationwide selection process for partner institutions, the main content of the agreement is to support play teachers for children with disabilities together with the Happy Development Coaching Center and provide services that allow children with developmental disabilities to learn various play methods using various play KITs.
Yoo Hyeyoung, head of Save the Children Western Regional Headquarters, said, “It is an honor to provide opportunities to promote development and the right to play for children with disabilities who are relatively in welfare blind spots.”
Park Jihyun, CEO of Happy Development Coaching Center, stated, “We hope that more children with disabilities will receive services through the implementation of this project.”
A representative of the Support Project for Play Teachers for Children with Disabilities said, “Through this support project, we can provide children with disabilities with a wider variety of play KITs and play methods, and we have high expectations for participating in the project as we can plan services for children with disabilities.”
