Promotion of Establishing a 200,000-Ton Production System Combining Yeong and Honam Regions
[Yeongam= Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Hyundai Hims held a completion ceremony for the Daebul Plant 3 today (12th) at the Daebul Industrial Complex in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The completion ceremony was attended by executives and employees from the Daebul Free Trade Zone Authority and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
In the past, the Hyundai Hims Daebul Plant 3 had severely deteriorated interior and exterior office buildings, and ground subsidence occurred, making it urgent to improve the poor working environment.
Accordingly, from November last year, after five months of comprehensive remodeling and expansion, full-scale commercial production began.
Daebul Plant 3 is a factory started to establish an annual production system of 100,000 tons of blocks and 30,000 tons of cutting, together with the existing Plants 1 and 2, to proactively respond to the upcoming recovery in the shipbuilding industry.
This year, Plant 2 was completed near the existing Pohang plant, and at the same time, Plant 1 was expanded to establish a combined production system of 200,000 tons in Yeongnam and Honam regions.
