Late Kang Soo-yeon Departs Amid Farewell from Film Industry Figures
Tomorrow Morning Memorial Service... Burial Site at Yongin Memorial Park
Actress Kang Soo-yeon departs this world surrounded by fellow filmmakers. The funeral committee for the late actress Kang Soo-yeon announced on the 10th that a farewell ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on the 11th at the funeral hall in the basement level 1 of Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The farewell ceremony will be conducted as a funeral for filmmakers. Actor Yoo Ji-tae will serve as the master of ceremonies. Eulogies will be delivered by Kim Dong-ho, chairman of the Gangneung International Film Festival and head of the funeral committee, directors Im Kwon-taek and Yeon Sang-ho, and actors Moon So-ri and Sol Kyung-gu. A tribute video produced by filmmakers will be screened to honor the deceased. The burial site will be Yongin Memorial Park. The Korean Film Council will live stream the farewell ceremony through its official YouTube channel.
