View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 23rd that it has opened the first overseas flagship store (experience store) of 'BrandK,' the national representative joint brand of Korean small and medium enterprises, on the 2nd floor of Bitexco Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The Vietnam BrandK experience store is decorated with interior designs that capture the atmosphere of Korea. It features product-specific experience exhibition rooms, a real-time communication sales studio, and a media wall, allowing visitors to experience BrandK products and Korean culture in a comprehensive way. Based on this, the plan is to attract the interest of Vietnamese consumers and operate the space as a place people want to visit.
To effectively promote BrandK and the experience store, K-POP cover dance competitions, traditional Korean games, and other Hallyu-related events will be held regularly. BrandK is a national representative joint brand established in 2019 for small and medium enterprises that have excellent products but face difficulties entering overseas markets. Currently, there are 190 products, and the plan is to expand to 300 products this year. In November last year, a BrandK experience store was also opened at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, to promote BrandK and its products.

Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "This year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, and the opening of the first overseas BrandK experience store in Vietnam holds significant meaning for both countries." He added, "As of 2021, Vietnam is Korea's third-largest export market and sixth-largest import market. SBC will serve as a strong foothold to help Korean small and medium venture companies successfully enter the local Vietnamese market."
