National Forest Healing Center Recruiting Participants for Forest Prenatal Care Program 'First Connection in the Forest'

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The National Forest Healing Center announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting pregnant women to participate in the forest prenatal program "First Connection in the Forest."
This program is designed to support healthy childbirth for pregnant women through forest prenatal care, the first stage of forest welfare services by life cycle.
The main programs include ▲Pregnant women's forest yoga ▲Pregnant women's resistance band exercise ▲Sharing the forest (forest trail walking and prenatal meditation) ▲Forest in My Hand (making garlands, mind purification meditation).
Participants can choose from three types: non-face-to-face, one-day, and overnight (1 night 2 days).
The recruitment scale is 20 people per session (first-come, first-served). Applications can be made by referring to the notice posted on the Forest Healing Center website or by contacting the Forest Healing Team 2 at the National Forest Healing Center.
Kim Jong-yeon, director of the National Forest Healing Center, said, "Through the forest prenatal program, we will create a healthy prenatal culture and atmosphere, and support the mental and physical healing of pregnant women and happy childbirth amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."

Meanwhile, according to the "Forest Prenatal Program Effect Verification Study (2021)" conducted by the Forest Welfare Research and Development Center, forest prenatal care lowers the stress index of pregnant women caused by parenting, physical discomfort, and housework, and positively affects the attachment relationship between pregnant women and their fetuses.
