Kim Soo-young, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member: "Hyunsan Must Responsibly Compensate for Apartment Collapse Damage"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Kim Soo-young, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, recently urged Hyundai Development Company to take responsible compensation for damages related to the I-Park collapse accident during a 5-minute free speech at the temporary session.
He pointed out unauthorized design changes, use of substandard materials, and poor management by Hyundai Development Company as the main causes of the collapse accident.
He also requested that local government expenses not be overspent due to project promotion focused on performance in national projects or public contests.
Councilor Kim said, “I earnestly ask Hyundai Development Company to do their best to ensure realistic compensation for the approximately 110 households of nearby residents, about 150 stores, and prospective tenants affected by the collapse accident.”
