Lim Young-woong Donates 100 Million Won for Wildfire Relief Efforts
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Singer Lim Young-woong has rolled up his sleeves to help with the wildfire damage in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions.
The Community Chest of Korea, also known as Sarangui Yeolmae, announced on the 8th that "Lim Young-woong donated 100 million won to help victims suffering from the large wildfires in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon areas."
Lim Young-woong said, "I hope to be even a little help to the residents who lost their homes due to the wildfires."
The donation will be used for restoring the damaged areas caused by the large wildfires in Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok-si, Gangwon, as well as providing daily necessities and living expenses to affected residents.
Last June, on his birthday, Lim Young-woong donated 200 million won to Sarangui Yeolmae together with his agency, and his nationwide fan club has also been continuously engaged in donations and sharing activities.
The government declared Gangneung-si and Donghae-si as special disaster zones following Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon, which were severely affected by the wildfires.
