[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Russian forces, pressuring Ukraine from multiple directions, reportedly entered the Lviv region, a central city in western Ukraine, on the 26th.
According to foreign media, Andriy Sadovyi, the mayor of Lviv, posted on his Telegram that "around 9 a.m., three Russian helicopters landed in Brody, a city near Lviv, and about 60 soldiers entered."
He added, "The Ukrainian military is repelling the occupiers (Russian forces). We are controlling the situation."
Since the invasion of Ukraine, Russia has surrounded the capital Kyiv from the north, east, and south, tightening the siege, and it appears that on this day, forces were deployed to the western region as well.
