Meta "Ban on Advertising and Commercial Activities for Russian State Media on Facebook"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Meta, the parent company of Facebook, announced on the 25th (local time) that it will prohibit Russian state-run media from advertising or engaging in commercial activities on its platform.
According to foreign media, a Meta security policy official said on Twitter that day, "We are continuing to label additional Russian state-run media."
He added, "These changes have already begun and will continue through the weekend."
Earlier, Russian authorities demanded Facebook stop fact-checking content posted by their state-run media and attaching warning labels indicating issues.

When Meta did not comply, the Russian communications authority announced, "As a response to Russian media censorship, Facebook access will be partially restricted in Russia."
