View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] Gyeongnam Province will conduct a comprehensive inspection of local roads and road construction sites from February 28 to March 25 in preparation for the thawing season.
This is being implemented as the cold wave gradually recedes to strengthen the safety and health management system for construction sites and disaster-vulnerable facilities that are susceptible during the thawing period.
The plan is to check whether safety and health compliance at road construction sites is properly managed in accordance with the Serious Accident Punishment Act and to prevent safety accidents that may occur as the ground surface, such as road slopes, thaws.
Inspections will be conducted on road cut slopes for risks of falling rocks and landslides, damage or deformation of road pavement, and damage or deformation of bridge and tunnel structures at provincial offices, city and county offices, and road construction sites.
They will also verify fall accident prevention during high-altitude work at road construction sites, compliance with safety facility installation standards, and any deformation of temporary facilities that prevent soil collapse when digging deeply into the ground.
Based on the inspection results, the province, city and county offices, and business offices will immediately carry out emergency repairs on hazardous areas, conduct detailed safety inspections, and perform repair and reinforcement work on areas requiring additional maintenance, while also focusing on managing hazardous road sections.
