Gyeongbuk Province Takes First Step to Achieve 11 Trillion Won in National Budget Next Year... Holds National Budget Securing Strategy Report Meeting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province held the "Next Year's National Investment Budget Securing Strategy Report Meeting" on the 24th, presided over by Deputy Governor Kang Seongjo, with all senior officials in attendance.
The meeting was organized to review the progress of major projects and discuss step-by-step, project-by-project, and department-by-department response strategies to achieve the national budget securing target set earlier this year during the work report.
Last year, Gyeongbuk Province secured a record-high national budget of 10.0175 trillion KRW, and this year, it set a goal to secure 11 trillion KRW, building on last year's momentum.
They focused on thoroughly reviewing next year's key core projects by sector and emphasized discovering future growth engines based on the priorities and investment directions of central government ministries to secure the national budget. Continuous discovery of new projects and various preliminary feasibility study projects in different fields were also discussed.
The creation of the Metaverse Nomad Happiness Village, the Gyeongbuk Youth Metaplace Construction Project, and financial support for Gyeongbuk innovative small and medium enterprises' Future Connection were also mentioned.

Next year's national investment budget proposal projects will be submitted to the relevant ministries by the end of April, undergo ministry reviews by the end of May, and then be submitted to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
