US Likely to Move Embassy to Poland from Ukraine
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The United States is considering relocating its embassy in Ukraine abroad. This move comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin officially ordered Russian peacekeeping forces to enter the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine.
Bloomberg News reported on the 21st (local time), citing anonymous sources, that Poland is the most likely temporary destination.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine moved from the capital Kyiv to the western city of Lviv on the 14th. At that time, the Biden administration requested non-essential embassy staff and U.S. citizens to leave Ukraine.
