In particular, his new song released on the 10th, 'Jeonbok Meogeureo Gallae' (Wanna Go Eat Abalone), is impressive with its fun lyrics matching its unique title, and its music video ranked number one on YouTube's trending music chart, proving the popularity of the ‘trend trot singer’.
A county official said, “We are pleased that popular star singer Youngtak has become Wando-gun’s abalone promotional ambassador,” adding, “Thanks to the title and lyrics, ‘Wando’ and ‘abalone’ are naturally being promoted, and we expect it will help revitalize our county’s abalone industry and tourism.”
Singer Youngtak said, “I like seafood, so I thought about including seafood in the title, and since abalone is delicious, I ultimately chose abalone,” and added, “I hope this song will lead to increased consumption of abalone and help fishermen.”
Wando abalone grows by feeding on seaweed and kelp from the clean sea, is rich in various nutrients, helps restore energy and strengthen immunity, and is called the ‘ginseng of the sea.’ Recently, with growing public interest in health due to COVID-19, abalone consumption is also on the rise.
